About this vehicle
Very rare FJ40 looking for a new home. Built in the FJ40 golden period 75/79. Made in Japan for the American market (LHD) brought to the oilfields in Angola and then onto South Africa. I’m only the second owner and have been since 1988 when I purchased her in Johannesburg. She served as my company car travelling between Rivonia and Fourways for twenty years with the occasional bush /diving trip once or twice a year. She was then sent down to the farm in the Cape where she was used once a year when the family came down from Johannesburg for the Christmas holidays. She is in running order and has all the relevant papers and licences. Everything is still original except for the mags which she had on when I took ownership. Whilst she is in good condition there are a few things that need to be attended to, to get her back into showroom condition - although she has never lived at the coast there is a bit of rust (bottom of front doors mainly) two small windows at the back are missing, all the signage has fallen off over the years, indicator stick has been broken off (?) plus the odd bit of wear and tear here and there.
