The story
One stop for the parts and the fitting
4x4 Mega World sells and fits 4x4 gear from a network of branches and franchises across South Africa, with a head office in Boksburg. Its own store map also lists outlets in Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Kenya.
The range is built around ARB and Old Man Emu. Old Man Emu started in 1976 and ARB bought it in 1988. Next to that sit Desert Products roof racks, rear bars and bash plates, Alu-Cab canopies and tents, Engel fridges and REDARC power gear.
The company also runs MegaXplore, a 4x4 club with guided trips and longer expeditions to Botswana, Namibia and Lesotho. A family membership includes a basic 4x4 training course for one person.
