The story
Who is IGL Coatings Africa?
IGL Coatings Africa is the official importer and sole distributor of IGL Coatings in Southern Africa. IGL is a Malaysian maker of graphene-reinforced ceramic coatings for paint, glass, trim and wheels, plus anti-corrosion coatings for steel.
IGL Coatings appointed the company as its exclusive South African distributor in October 2025. The territory covers South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Lesotho and Eswatini.

Ceramic coatings are hydrophobic, so water, dust and mud lift off more easily. Kenzo, Quartz+ and EZ all work on paint.

Can I apply an IGL coating to my Land Cruiser myself?
Yes, with the right product. Ecocoat EZ is a one-layer coating made for DIY use and can get wet after 1 hour. Ecocoat Kenzo is applied by certified applicators only. Ecocoat EZ
How long does a ceramic coating last?
It depends on the product. IGL lists Kenzo at up to 5 years, Quartz+ up to 4 years, EZ 12 to 24 months and Poly up to 1 year, with proper care. IGL products
What is IGL Aegis?
A clear, graphene-reinforced anti-corrosion coating for steel. IGL tested it to 6,000 hours of salt spray and 4,000 hours of water immersion. Being clear, it lets you see the metal underneath. IGL Aegis

Can I wash a coated vehicle with normal car shampoo?
Use a pH-neutral, coating-safe shampoo. IGL's Ecoclean Wash is made not to strip ceramic coatings. Ecoclean Wash
Can IGL Armor be used as a load bin liner?
Yes. IGL lists bakkie load bin protection as a use for Armor. It is graphene-reinforced, flexible, resists UV, abrasion and chemicals, and goes on with a brush, roller or spray. IGL Armor
