About Paul Marsh 4x4
Paul Marsh is an independent 4x4 expedition specialist with more than 30 years of vehicle-based travel on every continent. His first big trip was 18 months through Africa, north to south and back, in a vehicle he built himself. He later drove from Cape Town to Eritrea and back, 70,000 km in 14 months in one vehicle.
He built two vehicles for Shell's "Driven to Extremes" TV series, which ran from Siberia at minus 60 °C to the Taklamakan Desert in China at plus 60 °C and on into the Malaysian jungle. He also took part in the Camel Trophy selections in South Africa.
After 18 years in England, he set up Paul Marsh 4x4 in Cape Town in 2014. Most of the builds he manages are Land Cruisers: 79 double and single cabs, 78 Troopies and older 80 Series. He chooses the base vehicle with you, designs the layout and runs the build with workshops he picks.
Safari Drive replaced its Defender fleet with LC79 double cabs he developed, and he built and prepared the whole TechPro Safari fleet. Private clients come from all over the world, and many have never driven a 4x4 before.
