About

About Routes Rediscovered

Routes Rediscovered is a locally owned adventure travel company in Cape Town. It plans self-drive 4x4 safaris, hosted trips, mobile camping and small-group tours in 14 African countries, from South Africa, Namibia and Botswana to Kenya, Rwanda and Madagascar.

Founder Mark Bland drives his own 76 Series Land Cruiser. His self-drive trips can be done in your own vehicle or in one of their rental 4x4s. They plan the route, book the campsites, lodges and activities, and stay in touch while you are on the road.

For longer expeditions they offer a consulting service: route planning, pre-trip briefings, packing lists, training, and 4x4 builds and modifications with Paul Marsh 4x4. They also run overlanding courses near Cape Town and a range of trips planned and endorsed by Paul Marsh.
