Hardshell or softshell?
A hardshell has a fibreglass, plastic or aluminium lid. It opens in a minute or two and stays dry and dust-free while you drive. The 22 hardshells here typically cost R43 993.
A softshell is a canvas tent that folds out over the side of the vehicle, usually with a ladder holding it up. It is cheaper and often sleeps more, but takes longer to pack, and wet canvas must be dried out at home. The 5 softshells here typically cost R16 660.
