In South Africa the Land Cruiser 300 Series tyre size depends on the grade. The GX-R and GR Sport run a stock 265/65R18 on 18-inch rims, while the ZX runs 265/55R20 on 20-inch rims.

This is the model where assuming “one Land Cruiser tyre size” goes wrong. The off-road GX-R and GR Sport share the 18-inch wheel, while the luxury ZX flagship sits on 20s.
Which Grade Upsizes Best
If tyres matter to your build, grade choice matters. The 18-inch GX-R and GR Sport have the most to work with — 285/65R18 (around 33 inches) is the popular all-terrain upgrade and fits with little or no modification, giving extra sidewall for airing down off-road. It’s no accident that Toyota put the off-road-focused GR Sport on 18s rather than 20s: the smaller rim leaves room for a taller, tougher tyre.
The ZX on 20-inch rims is the catch. Its 265/55R20 is a low-profile, road-biased tyre, and the big wheel leaves little sidewall and a narrower aftermarket choice. The 285/55R20 upgrade is about as far as it sensibly goes on the standard wheel — which is why serious off-road ZX owners often fit a smaller-diameter 18-inch wheel to open up the all-terrain range.
As with the 200, the 300 carries TPMS — keep the sensors and have them reset when you change tyres so you’re not driving with a warning light.
